Introduction to making OLEM exercise text files
The process is very simple. Once you have made the different kinds of exercise one or two times you will have learned how to do it.
We understand that most teachers do not have a lot of time to sit down and make the exercises with pictures and/or sound - so the majority of the exercise templates are text only. Indeed, 9 of the 17 exercises presently available are text only.
Making the text exercises for file form upload goes very quickly. You just have to write the txt file in the correct way and press the button. (The library zip file contains examples of all the exercises).
If you are doing this for the first time, we recommend that you begin with the text only exercises. Follow the menu structure and do each of the exercises in the order they are presented. We begin with the easiest and move forward from there.
Make the text file with a text editor (such as Notepad), then save it as utf8 and you are ready to upload.
Click on the Text only button below to start at the beginning.
